Following it's successful launch last year, the Swindon Cricket Club Player Sponsorship scheme is back in place for 2024 and it is great to see businesses already signing up again.

We know that businesses need support from their local community. We see the player sponsorship package as a low-cost way for businesses to get their name ‘out there’ while also supporting sport in the local community.

Swindon Cricket Club is a 180-year-old cricket club based in the heart of the town, next to STFC. We are one of the largest clubs in Wiltshire with five adult cricket teams, midweek T20 teams, 7 junior teams, a newly forming women's team, a disability hub programme and around 100 young players getting into cricket via our programmes for under 10s. We have over 500+ members including players, parents, coaches and volunteers, who are essential to helping run the club. In addition, we attract large crowds during STFC home games and run a number of community events including our very successful family fireworks and bonfire night.

Who can you sponsor and what is the cost?
The cost to sponsor a player is just £200 per player, with all players from 1st team level through to junior level available to sponsor.

What do the sponsors get in return?

• Invitation to the SCC 2023 Sponsors Day (Sun 21st July) which is the day we host Wiltshire vs Glamorgan (Pro Team) incl. a drink on arrival - a great opportunity to extend your business network.
• ‘Sponsors spotlight’ article on the club website alongside other player sponsors.
• Business associated with a players achievements when mentioned on club website and social media in match results reporting.
• Business logo put onto our match streaming platform which shows 1st and 2nd team matches live on Youtube.
• Complimentary social membership
• Swindon CC players cap
• Digital photo of sponsored player with brand logo banner below for you to use on your own digital media.

How does it work?
This is a player led initiative so our players will be approaching businesses in the local area. If you are seeing this and have not been approached, but would like to sponsor a player, please email co-ordinator Keron via playersponsorship@swindoncricketclub.co.uk and he can align you to a suitable player.

If player sponsorship is not suitable for your business is there another way you could support Swindon Cricket Club? We will be launching bigger opportunities soon which include senior team shirt sponsorship, women's section sponsorship, grounds team/machinery sponsorship and many others.
