Following two successful years, the Swindon Cricket Club Player Sponsorship scheme is back in place for 2025 and it is great to see businesses already signing up again.

We know that businesses need support from their local community and we see the player sponsorship package as a low-cost way for businesses to get their name ‘out there’ whilst also supporting a volunteer run, not for profit, local community organisation.

Swindon Cricket Club is a 180-year-old cricket club based in the heart of the town, next to STFC. We are one of the largest clubs in Wiltshire with five adult cricket teams, midweek T20 teams, 9 junior teams, a women's section, a disability hub programme and we also run the national AllStars programme for 5-8 year olds. We have over 500+ members including players, parents, coaches and volunteers, who are essential to helping run the club. In addition, we attract large crowds during STFC home games and run a number of community events including our very successful family fireworks and bonfire night.

Who can you sponsor and what is the cost?
The cost to sponsor a player is just £200 per player, with all players from 1st team level through to junior level available to sponsor. This includes our 2025 overseas player joining us from New Zealand.

What do the sponsors get in return?

Invitation to the SCC 2025 Sponsors Event - late afternoon/evening of Friday 30th May to coincide with a high profile T20 fixture - including a drink on arrival - a great opportunity to extend your business network.
‘Sponsors spotlight’ article on the club website alongside other player sponsors.
Business associated with a players achievements when mentioned on club website and social media in match results reporting.
Business logo put onto our match streaming platform which shows 1st and 2nd team matches live on Youtube.

How does it work?
This is a player led initiative so our players will be approaching businesses in the local area. If you are seeing this and have not been approached, but would like to sponsor a player, please email co-ordinator Sam Giddings via playersponsorship@swindoncricketclub.co.uk and he can align you to a suitable player.

Player sponsorship not suitable for your business or you would like to support the club to a greater extent?
If player sponsorship is not suitable for your business there are other ways you could support Swindon Cricket Club. This includes banner sponsorship, women's section sponsorship, grounds team/machinery sponsorship and many others. These each come with online presence and you would be joining some great local businesses as shown in this articles image.
